Did you mean .3% ?

Yeah, 30/10k is .3% so that part is correct.

They were impressed by the high quality American woman.

Wrong. That description was meant to provide context to the story. Vs the alternative: getting some foreign oversees call center agent who doesn’t speak English as a first language and doesn’t truly care about my account, as many companies use. When I said quality, I meant professional and helpful at the same time as an employee. Her being female was of no consequence and that’s your own projection. I was impressed simply by the timely resolution of their engineering issue.

We have the same timeline and general opinion — BUT SN has shown several serious bugs over the years … one of which locked me out of my account at a very inconvenient time, and support was responsive but ultimately could not help. Another thing I’ve seen is a password-protected file will display its contents for 1 or 2 seconds before being obscured and asking for a password. These have given me pause as to the robustness of the security of SN. Hopefully Proton can put some attention to these issues.

Hi! Can you email Standard Notes again at help@standardnotes.com for the latter issue about a password-protected file remaining open for a few seconds?

What does it smell like?

Make an appointment at a VA clinic

Wrong kind of vet.

I love HN.

"I wish the Xs at Y would make Y do Z"

> "Hi, I'm a X from Y. Y already does Z. I did that last Tuesday."

Always my favourite genre of interactions on this site.

There should be no need for HN to provide this kind of support channel. It exhibits how things don’t work.

You are assuming the parent poster actually attempted to go through support and work through the issue. I don't see indication of that. If anything, this thread indicates to me that many people form an opinion of a product and never seek support or never seek to revisit the issue and see if it has been fixed.

It's not support at all in this case, don't mix everything. Someone says something wrong about a product you're literally working on, there's nothing wrong in responding.

I know a lot of Boeing people. Boeing’s management shit-show is legendary around here. The night of the door plug incident a former Boeing coworker of mine very confidently told me his hypothesis of what happened — and he was exactly right when the details came out. He worked there more than ten years ago.

Interesting that a bill is even necessary. Doesn’t the defense already have a right to preview the evidence used against them?

MyHouse but it’s straight to the bathroom and then the demons come to you.
