what victims are cool? history is filled with aggressors we idolize, i don't know a victim. asking honestly.

Wasn't Jesus a victim?

More importantly, Jesus is considered by many to be the son of God, as well as God himself. Otherwise Jesus would just be a victim.

It is a reinterpretation of victimhood to be noble and glorious to appeal to the masses, who are or see themselves as predominantly victims.

Jesus only said to love one another, have compassion, care for even thieves and hookers, meet people as they are not how you want them to be.

reddit doesn't buy squat, it's conde nast. same people that wrote fluff pieces on a 'new wall street wonder boy' named jeffrey epstein.

Conde Nast spun out reddit as a separate entity almost a decade ago.

Just to follow up on this - Conde Nast's parent company, Advance Publications, still owns a majority stake in Reddit (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Advance_Publications). Apparently they also own the Discovery Channel and Lycos.

This is true, but it would be like trying to correct someone and saying "No AirBnB didn't by Company X, Greylock did!"

maybe we should destroy copyright?

No, we shouldn't. Copyright is important; it just happens to be broken right now. We should fix it instead of destroying it.

and it worked when?

i'm with grumple. over half of Google's CEOs and founders have been charged with sexual misconduct and worse. schmidt should be in jail.

an old family friend is the King's Architect in Morocco, he has always spoken very highly of the king and his understanding of Morocco straddling two worlds. he really is an interesting man but on the other hand so enigmatic that he doesn't get the praise of say Jordan's very charismatic king. of all the world's leaders he has escaped public definition more than almost anyone. i look forward to a day where his reign is open to examination. i assume this choice was a very weighted one for him.

conde nast is way too close to epstein for my comfort.

doesn't get any better than that for me.

blows my mind no one ever brings up the walden storylines from doonesbury. it touches on everything we are still debating to this very day.
