Yawn.

TLDR: The Lancet and Elsevier are dič&$ for being behind a paywall for a 20 year old article.

Bottom line: Earl Grey tea gets its flavor from Bergamot oil. Don’t OD on it. It’s toxic.

Ok. So I wanted a fancy ls -l command that would show NerdFont icons but NOT the long pointers to symlinks (just the colors), so I got this.

1 million to his personal worth is the same as 50 cents to the average American household yearly income.

So he is giving away pocket change.

Big deal.

Folks these types of articles on CNN and others are just clickbait.

YC/HN should actively discourage referencing articles that are behind paywalls like "Nature"

Despite the fact they don't show the full article, they are getting your traffic and profiting by it.

"Nature" and other such publishers are simply pimping the article author's hard work.

Unfortunately SciHub does not seem to have this article.

This is a great alternative to Pocket or other read it later type program. Would be great if HackerNews had a save to Omnivore button next to each story.

It can be self-hosted as well, makes it that much more appealing

I concur. Seems too good to be true.

My guess is that “membrane” used to facilitate hydrogen extraction is going to a bitch to maintain. Probably any kind of impurity with render the system FUBAR.

34 > 45

The new math.

Another simplistic take on a complex multifaceted problem. ”… it’s not that you eat too much, it’s that you’re lazy…” I’ve spent 30 years caring for diabetics and obese patients. Yes food is a contributing factor, yes exercise (lack of) is a contributing factor. So are hereditary factors, gut microbiota and societal stressors. My message is not that there is no hope, it’s just not easy and simple.
