You understand that while The Post takes place in the 1970s, it was written and filmed in the 2010s, right?

...that was my point. The quote was cherry picked from a movie that was filmed in the 2010s. The quote would have been selected to be included by modern film makers to expose to a wide audience. People say a lot of things, which things to include in a movie? Without looking, I'd even say it's probably a real quote. That doesn't affect my point, which questions that statement's truth value.

That's probably because they're not posting abhorrent content.

Please don't use HN for ideological flamewar. It's off topic here.

If I was, I would have worded my initial, base level, comment differently. Note that I'm not the one bringing up right or left and I'm specifically complaining about websites that have a far right user base.

So, I think you should question if you're projecting here.

How did you jump from talking about left politics on the internet to literally murdering 100 million people?

Would you please also not use HN for ideological flamewar? It's what we're most trying to avoid here, really.

Because that's what has happened at the extreme left (Stalin, Mao). If someone ignores the evils of fascism, would you not inform them?

When somebody makes a post about purchasing something using money, do you wade into the discussion to call them slavers and murderers because of capitalism's unsavory history?

Projection. You’re the one who stated that left wing extremists “aren’t posting anything abhorrent” on social media. Forgive me if I consider “death to capitalists” abhorrent.

The worst thing about the talking point you're spouting off is how unaware you've willingly chosen to be about this topic.

Simply draw a few vertical lines on your whiteboard and you can achieve the same result without wasting 2 hours of your time drawing trees

> The success rate of never smoking/vaping in the first place is 100%.

If it were, then nobody would start smoking.

This is like saying the rhythm method has a 100% success rate. It's only true if you do it perfectly. Nobody does.

When I first tried a disposable cigalike this happened to me. I was previously smoking just under a pack a day, but without an obvious stopping point I found myself using the whole thing in a few hours, when it was supposed to be equivalent to a pack. Because of this, when I started using a sub-ohm tank, I only bought 3mg liquids (the lowest available). I could vape it as much a I wanted and it took pretty much constant vaping for 10 minutes to feel slightly unwell from the nicotine, so this worked very well for me.
