Confetti cannon is a thing. So there is an obvious link between confetti and cannon. Furthermore, These ("cannon" and "conffetis) are two very common concepts used in a single sentence.

Excuse me for being genuine but I totally fail to understand how original the phrase is.

Why don't you come up with an example of a new phrase with the same meaning that is actually original so we can compare your "real" originality to this "fake" originality?

Nice effort, this is my feedback:

* On a short invoice (let's say, 4 invoice lines) Font used for rendering invoice lines is way too big and space between invoice lines too large. I understand the font size and base line are adaptive to the number of lines but invoices with low number of lines are then not rendered very nicely

* Size for the description field is way too limited. Most of the description lines we used are larger than what is accepted in this field.

* Missing a "product reference id" column

* Probably not intended for B2B EU users as a few important pieces of information are missing like company number (the one of the invoicing company and the one of the company being invoiced, payment conditions, bank account, payment reference to be used with the bank transfer and, most importantly, no automatic computation and display of the VAT.

Best of luck with your project !

which made me realized that xeyes is still installed on vanilla ubuntu installation (22.04 LTS). type `xeyes` on the console and there you go. I does not follow the mouse when the mouse is outside the xeyes window though.

> I does not follow the mouse when the mouse is outside the xeyes window though.

Probably means that Ubuntu 22.04 LTS is using Wayland, and xeyes is running under Xwayland, and because of that xeyes is only getting access to cursor information when the cursor is over the window.

My laptop is on 2204 and xeyes works the same way it's worked for decades. I'm running Xorg/xfce

From what I see online:

- Wayland is the default in Ubuntu 22.04

- You can still choose to use an X11 session instead

- The XFCE4 window manager xfwm only works with X11

https://askubuntu.com/a/1421682

This is consistent with why xeyes works the way for you the way it always did, while it works differently for someone else.

It's an easy tool to quickly check that X11 works (eg. when messing with X settings, such as redirection over ssh, etc.).

surely xdpyinfo is quicker.

I'm a daily listener on soundcloud (free tier for now). For months, soundcloud have bugged me with stupid ads every two or three songs. I was planning to leave the platform because I found it annoying and I don't like to being forced to pay.

Ads seem to be gone for now and with this new perspective, I'm actually considering taking a paying plan (starting around 6.00 € a month). I must admit the new model where the money I give actually goes to the musicians I actually listen to is appealing. Well done!

ps: as a shameless plug, I use soundcloud to save some old french movie audio clip, from the 60th and 70thies mostly and usually sassy. You can have a hearing here: https://soundcloud.com/melicerte/sets/extraits-de-vieux-film...

just had a 10 minutes fun with it while looking for svelte information on HN, and here is what I end up with: https://patch.cab/avobxvgk

Well done. Quick question: when there is no more move left, does that mean that I lost (and the shuffle is there in order to be less frustrating) or is the shuffle part of the game's original rules?

Yup I'm totally Mahjong solitaire newbie :)

I was coming to say just that, don’t stop at the referenced comic but browse the eighteen others, you will not loose your time (I particularly like the diff between the frontend conf and the functional programming one) kudos to the author, I’ll be following you from now on

Great to have you on board, commenting here and there :)
