Hackathons can be a blast. That said, it usually takes extra effort to productionize-a-thing after the initial hackathon effort.

Hope to see a follow-up post on what was built!

When I saw the headline - I thought this article was about building a mouse from scratch using Mouser components. A little confusing using the same name.

I miss mentoring junior engineers in-person

Big fan of this game. The arcade version is a blast if you can find it in your particular city.

Are you playing competitively (league play, tournaments)? Or just passionate about the game?

I used to play very competitively, but I've been more chill recently. I just think it's a nice problem/dataset to work with, because of the depth of my understanding of the game.

Fantastic timing on this post. I was just chatting with coworkers this week about my childhood modded Xbox and showed them screenshots of the Avalaunch home screen.

I should become a maintainer to keep the legacy going…

I always wondered why Dead Man’s Snitch didn’t keep their app up-to-date. Seems like this area has a decent amount of competition!

A bit more exciting than my standard day at the office! Production outage is about as spicy as it gets…

I too, read Project Hail Mary (great book btw).

Same here. I played Last of Us 2 when it came out and didn’t realize how big of a toll it took on me. It put me on edge and left me exhausted. I don’t play video games anymore either, except for some laid back iOS games.
