The maintainer "ocavue" has been a big contributor to the underlying engine, ProseMirror, and he's an active contributor to other major libraries in the modern web ecosystem as well. He's done amazing work on creating a fully fledged, framework agnostic, rich text editor. I've been using it for a while now, and it's by far the best rich text editor i've worked with.
