Ripplr (https://ripplr.io) is a place where people share their favorite links, initially we thought it could be some sort of social platform, but now I'm trying to validate if we were tackling the right problem, with the right solution.

My name is Mário Balça, founder of Ripplr and I just wanted to leave this comment, to share what's the story behind this project.
Our goal with Ripplr is to build a social platform where people share their favourite links with different folks and communities, with no ads and no drawbacks — users' data will never be sold, neither will we ever have any sort of advertisement in the product.
We believe that having ads would make us work for advertisers, not users, and that's not what we want to do. We want to build a remarkable product for our users, something that they would actually be happy to pay for.
I'd love to get some thoughts and general feedback on what we have so far, so please share your comments with us. We will answer every single one of them — that's a promise!
