So really we are all fools for not taking it seriously enough to self-help promote this into a side hustle.
Hizbollah was the largest armed political group in the country with a base mainly in Shia areas. It said that it supported the country's ratification of the Optional Protocol in meetings with government officials.29 The group denied any use of children in the ongoing conflict with Israel, including the war of 2006.30 In 2007 there were reports that its military wing was recruiting boys aged 16-19. [...]
The US military accepts recruits at age 17, so I think you're really stretching the definition of 'child soldiers' here. The report goes on to mention that Hezbollah organizes youth camps and suchlike, and in turn we could point out that ROTC accepts recruits aged 14 and up. While I would not say they're exactly alike, as someone who grew up outside the USA, this society is very militaristic compared to a lot of others. I was genuinely shocked when I discovered that US schoolchildren are expected to recite a pledge of allegiance every morning.
I never thought hard about the last part of your comment here, but it really seems strange that it's been normalized to train high-schoolers in the USA to do military drills and such. There's not a lot of weapons training, I don't think, but I'm starting to realize at middle-age that things I've been told as I grew up (even in adulthood) are straight out lies or at least propaganda. I am too trusting.
One contributor is the fact that law enforcement rarely strikes but used their FOP and “union” organizations to slow, or sandbag work as a negotiation tactic. With membership that is largely unaccountable the blue wall is a political tool to leverage public funds by threat of crime and alternatively allowing or shutting down private unionization efforts.
If you are interested in what is being shown at a museum before you arrive, that really helps. The more context you have, the more enjoyable it will be, as you can find things to focus on.
Like Ikea, if you know what you are going to look at as opposed to a "casual stroll through hell before Nordic lunch," you can escape with fewer casualties. I hate going to Ikea as an activity, but running in to look at something or comparing 2 pieces of junk before purchase always finds me with a few not-so-bad extra items.
My family has always gone to museums, every trip is punctuated with the best local variety. What I have noticed are the advancements in modern curation, with an eye toward storytelling, greatly improve the context, understanding, and enjoyment of an exhibit. Seasoned museum-goers and subject matter experts may find some attempts overly simplistic, but if you are there for the pieces and have the context, the overall story may not matter as much.
Within contemporary art, there is an art to providing pieces together without telling a story which allows visitors to draw their connections to the pieces. The Louvre is the antithesis of this, as the collections are largely divided into respective dead-guy collections.
It will probably be confusing until the delta of monetary damage to drones outpaces the value of campaign contributions. Until then, we have articles to look forward to highlighting how "unreasonable" this behavior is so the window of manufactured consent can move to justify the new reality.
This is not a conspiracy, just the alignment of capital incentives that externalize current notions that could be argued as believed to be within the realm of "the public good."
No one is paid to advocate for common sense, privacy, or the right to shoot the free targets that avail themselves over your property.
Ummm… what? Can you point to one major publication that is trying to cover this? Media corporations can control the narrative by controlling who they hire. It’s more expensive but they’ve been doing it for a long time so there’s institutional knowledge. Also, these same companies make their money on advertising so explain to me why you’d trust them to go after their sole remaining revenue stream?
