Are you in the Southwest?

No but one of the airports in my area is a Southwest hub.

Some kind of a map would help me visualize this.

Who's that?

The article says it's this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ogham

>The vast majority of the inscriptions consist of personal names.

What constitutes "ending child poverty"? Food stamps, free schooling, and section 8 don't?

Do you not have to work with non-native speakers of whatever language you use at work?

Most people don't, since you either speak with native speakers or you speak in English mostly, since in international teams you speak in English and not one of the native languages even if nobody speaks English natively. So it is rare to hear broken non-English.

And note that understanding broken language is a skill you have to train. If you aren't used to it then it is impossible to understand what they say. You might not have been in that situation if you are an English speaker since you are so used to broken English, but it happens a lot for others.

>We can't ask teachers to work 5 days when the rest of the world doesn't.

Why not?

No. This was at zoo du Bassin d’Arcachon

The best part of getting a new phone is the new battery.

That is terrible because a new battery could be installed on an existing phone but Apple and others make it so hard and costly that many just get a new phone.

I miss the old days were I could just buy a battery and dump it in my phone. Those devices were not water tight but neither is my current smart phone.

A laptop has zero excuse for not having a removable battery.

Every year I miss the iPhone 4 more and more.

That phone was so easily fixed and well designed to replace parts.

I think I’d cry a little inside if Apple made a modern iPhone 4 again

After buying a Framework laptop and realizing it even comes with the only tool you'd ever need to upgrade or repair it, I would absolutely buy a Framework phone without question.

Just give me stock Android and midrange performance. If I can easily replace the screen and battery and upgrade the mainboard in a few years, I'll be totally happy.

Have you considered the Fairphone? https://shop.fairphone.com/fairphone-5 might be exactly that

The iPhone 14 (and I assume 15) does have lower repair pricing and a more repair friendly design than its predecessor.

An intrusive popup took over my screen at that link.

You can click reader mode in your browser to read the article.

I have zero patience for fools who are allegedly knowledge workers, yet complain about popups and ads in the year 2024.

The ads are obnoxious, but they are there for the plebs, and we need to put obnoxious ads the faces of plebs to fund the internet. If you are not a pleb, you already have an adblocking solution installed, so please use it. If however, you are a pleb, please consume mass quantities of the product which is being advertised. There are a lot of adware developers who are counting on you to buy their next Porsche.

Or, invent a decent micropayent solution so we can get rid of the damn ads.

Or how about pop-ups not take over my screen? I'm on a work computer without an ad blocker.

Or you can not complain about a dismissable popup on quality article being presented to you for free.

It wasn't dismissible; I had to force quit the browser.

Get back to work Brian.
