> and I keep getting casual reports that there is something wrong with the way Godot embeds .NET that leads to its consistently worse performance vs when being used standalone.
This is the first time I hear that. Do you have any sources for that? Reposting unfounded "casual reports" isn't helpful.
I'm not saying that they are well-founded, only that there seems to be a consistent anomaly I keep getting told about and would like to hear if this tracks or does not track with the experience of active Godot + C# users. It's just something I would like to know more about, with the best outcome of being proven wrong.
I think it makes a lot of sense. It's a first step towards a broader legalization. Consumers of cannabis will be less stigmatized, which will lead to a more open, honest discussion. I believe the social clubs will work, and bureaucracy will improve over time.
“UPDATE: Previously, Apple announced plans to remove the Home Screen web apps capability in the EU as part of our efforts to comply with the DMA. The need to remove the capability was informed by the complex security and privacy concerns associated with web apps to support alternative browser engines that would require building a new integration architecture that does not currently exist in iOS.
We have received requests to continue to offer support for Home Screen web apps in iOS, therefore we will continue to offer the existing Home Screen web apps capability in the EU. This support means Home Screen web apps continue to be built directly on WebKit and its security architecture, and align with the security and privacy model for native apps on iOS.
Developers and users who may have been impacted by the removal of Home Screen web apps in the beta release of iOS in the EU can expect the return of the existing functionality for Home Screen web apps with the availability of iOS 17.4 in early March.”
> they didn't change any code with it. That is definitely invalid, because they cannot license the exact same codebase with two different contradictory licenses.
Why couldn't they? Of course they can. If you are the copyright owner, you can publish/sell your stuff under as many licenses as you like.
Good to know. Now, could someone please write up a similar guide for mangoes? Too many are hard when I buy them, and they start getting mushy after a week, eventually rotting. However, at no point do they become truly ripe and sweet.
Theres a tiny limit on the amount of off-the-tree ripening that will occur, and they are really difficult to "read" on the tree to know when they are ripe. Each variety is different. The key for good mango is to let them go further than you would think on the tree and hopefully the birds dont beat you to them.
Source: moved into a house with several mango trees and am now pretty good at harvesting.
Curious in Brazil generally the best produce is exported and the rest goes to the local markets due to price dynamics.
But the best mango is locally produced. Cultivars that are unsuitable for commercial distribution (you can't harvest it unripened) but super delicious. It's not an overstatement to say that many houses in my region have at least one mango tree.
I've learned to never create a situation where friends or family need to press one another for owed money. I've always just paid for reasonable things if friends were short on cash. Not because I'm a pillar of charity, but asking for repayment is an unpleasant task.
And I'd strongly recommend against renting an apartment or house from family. At best, it adds unwanted dimensions to relationships. At worst, it turns times in life when you would've merely tripped into times when you trip and fall into a snarled briar of family problems.
