This would be an ideal question for/r/askhistorians … the sub is heavily moderated and answers are well sourced.

Just did that, here is the link in case you'd be interested: https://reddit.com/r/AskHistorians/s/Hv5iLockPn

MacOS: Combine several PDFs using Automator. Not spectacular, but always handy

iOS: Activate low power mode when battery drops below 95% - neat workaround since there is no way to have low power mode turned on permanently. Also, activate Airplane Mode from 1 am to 6 pm to save energy.

> ...no way to have low power mode permanently

Actually, this is indeed possible. Create an automation with the trigger "Low Power mode switched off" and add a single "turn low power mode on". Every time iOS switches it off, it should automatically retoggle back on.

Maybe Bloomberg BusinessWeek?

I guess the answer is somewhere in the middle? It's very hard to see how you can improve your life without any goal or plan. After all, what guides your actions? OTOH, it is probably as easy to get lost in planning / use excessive planning as a means of procrastination. In addition, a goal too ambitious might as well lead to burnout (e.g. your goal is to get a job at FAANG).

Also, I think it's sometimes hard to recognize whether a goal you have is indeed your own goal; or rather a goal "forced" onto you by your social circle or family.

… and when ordering, don‘t forget the music (= vinaigrette with onions)!

Same equation, different framing: What you're saying is that programmers are producing according to a Cobb-Douglas Production function with output elasticities of 1. Only caveat: in this setup, the production function has increasing returns to scale, i.e. doubling all the inputs (simulants, power of the machine, ...) more than doubles the output.

> Vitamin D supplements in winter

> Fish oil because it is supposed to help brain function

> Multivitamins because why not? No downside afaik and better not run into a deficiency.

IIRC, the Archive Team asked for help on /r/DataHoarder and had saved 10 bn posts to later upload them on the Internet Archive ... that might yield something? I personally have never heard of them before, but that doesn't mean anything ...

There is a nice documentary by Swiss Public Broadcaster SRF (in German with English subtitles):

"Cryptoleaks – Wie CIA und BND mit Schweizer Hilfe weltweit spionierten | Doku | SRF Dok" - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VWImO1Qz4Zo

I see there's a whole playlist:

and the automatic translation seems not bad.
