It's mentioned in the MrMobile video, but should be noted this company is also run by the co-founders of F(x)tec. Glad to see they're still investing in keeb phones, even if it's just for iPhone for now. The F(x)tec Pro1 was a cool phone, but a hard sell considering how Android updates work. Still holding out for someone to make a new keyboard phone/accessory for Android.
i remember reading about how IBM was consistently granted the most patents by the USPTO for over 25 years; this thread made me take a look and turns out Samsung bested them last year. and, of course, IBM spun it as a shift to "focusing" and that they did it "on purpose". feels like a sign of the times
I don't buy this theory — Elon holds the X branding dearly to an absurd degree and wouldn't burn it as an exit plan — but the question that I have is: how is Elon going to transfer x.com to X Corp? He reportedly owns it personally after buying it back from PayPal, so is he going to donate the domain to the newly-formed company or is he going to sell it to X Corp for a fee?
Probably, but if you think about the final 20% of the workload in optimizing, I think it's safe to say one will be immensely more grueling than the other just by the nature of it.
Not to say that your original comment didn't have merit; the beauty of hobby projects is that you can completely skip the last 20%.
