really just build this because i wanted it. Happy to talk shop and thanks for any support :)

Hey HN!

I’ve been working on a tool called Mochi – a Reddit content scheduler and strategist built specifically for people who are trying to grow their product or brand without spamming or burning accounts.

Most social media schedulers treat Reddit like Twitter, but it’s a very different ecosystem:

Timing matters more.

Tone matters a lot.

Context is everything.

And subreddit rules can get you banned fast if you're careless.

I got frustrated watching teams (including my own) miss key engagement moments on Reddit. We'd either be too late to respond to relevant posts or end up posting in the wrong way, in the wrong place, at the wrong time.

So I built Mochi to:

Monitor chosen subreddits for rising posts worth engaging with

Analyze engagement patterns to figure out what type of content works

Build weekly content strategies based on your goals (e.g. warm up an account vs. light brand mentions)

Schedule posts/comments in advance while following subreddit-specific guidelines

It’s already helping early users cut through the noise and be present on Reddit without living on Reddit.

If you want early access (we’re rolling it out slowly), the waitlist is open now. Early users will get a better launch price and a direct say in feature prioritization.

Would love your feedback, especially if you're in SaaS, indie hacking, or handle brand growth through content/community.

(And I’m happy to answer anything about how it works technically too.)

I built Subreddit Signals, a tool that helps founders, indie hackers, and marketers find the best Reddit communities where people are already looking for a product like theirs.

Why? Reddit is one of the most valuable platforms for organic discovery, but: Finding the right subreddits is a guessing game Self-promotion often gets flagged or ignored Engaging the wrong way can hurt more than help

I kept running into these challenges myself, so I built a tool that identifies where people are actively discussing problems your product can solve.

How It Works: Finds the right subreddits based on your product description Surfaces posts where people are asking for solutions like yours Scores posts based on relevance, engagement potential, and lead value Suggests natural, non-spammy ways to contribute

Who This Helps: Founders looking for early adopters Indie hackers trying to validate an idea Marketers who want real conversations, not just ads

Looking for Feedback! Have you tried using Reddit to reach potential users? What worked for you?

You can check out subredditsignals.com (7-day free trial) – would love your thoughts!

Thanks, excited to hear what you think!

Hey HN, I’m John Rice, a solo developer passionate about making tools that streamline marketing efforts for busy entrepreneurs and businesses. I recently launched Subreddit Signals, an app designed to scan Reddit daily, surfacing high-quality engagement opportunities in relevant subreddits, so you never miss a lead or conversation that could benefit your business.

Here’s how it works:

Automated Scans: The app continuously checks for posts and discussions aligned with your product’s keywords. Lead Optimization: It offers curated recommendations to help businesses engage authentically, with suggestions tailored to community rules.

Hot Lead Alerts: If there’s a particularly relevant conversation, you’ll get a notification right away to jump in and engage. Why Reddit?

Reddit is a goldmine for niche communities and conversations, but manually tracking them can be time-consuming and inefficient. Subreddit Signals automates that process, ensuring businesses don't miss out on valuable opportunities. For SaaS founders and entrepreneurs, early engagement in relevant discussions can mean the difference between getting lost in the noise and making an impact.

What I’d Love From the HN Community Feedback: I’m actively looking for ways to improve the product and the user experience. What would make this tool more valuable for you? Early Adopters: If you’re someone who uses Reddit for business outreach, I’d love for you to try it and share your thoughts.

Community Suggestions: Are there subreddits or other platforms you think are crucial for lead generation that I should add support for? I built Subreddit Signals out of my personal frustration with missing Reddit conversations where I could have added value—and I’d appreciate any feedback to help shape the next version of the app.

Thanks for reading! Happy to answer any questions here.

Hey HN,

I'm a developer who’s really into making tech that helps kids learn. I’ve been working on Narrative Nooks, an app that turns educational content into interactive stories. Think of it as combining storytime with learning, all wrapped up in an app.

What’s Narrative Nooks?

Narrative Nooks is all about making learning fun for kids through interactive storytelling. Here’s what it offers:

Interactive Stories: Kids get to dive into stories where they learn by playing along. Educational Content: Covering topics like science, history, math, and language arts. Parent and Educator Tools: Track your kid’s progress, tweak the content, and access extra resources. Affordable: We’re keeping the pricing family-friendly without skimping on quality. Community Feedback: We’re constantly updating based on what our users tell us. Why I Made This

As a developer and someone who loves education, I wanted to create something that makes learning as engaging as a good game or story. Kids learn best when they’re having fun, so I thought, why not mix the two?

Our Journey So Far

We just launched our landing page and are planning a full launch in the next couple of weeks. We’ve been spreading the word on Reddit and through Facebook ads, but I’d love to get some feedback from the HN community.
