--------------------
I'm Gilad Turok and I'm a senior at Columbia University majoring in Applied Math.
Extensive machine learning research experience with skills in:
- approximate Bayesian inference (variational inference)
- deep learning (meta-learning, NLP, non-Euclidean deep learning)
Interested in machine learning research/engineer, quantitative finance, and data science jobs. Open to full-time roles and internships (I'm considering a 1 year M.S. program).
Relentless learner, intensely productive, and team player. Check out my github: https://github.com/gil2rok.
Fun facts:
- started 'Harvard Rejects Club' at Columbia and went viral
- Performed Facebook sentiment analysis on university confession pages. Found UChicago is
most negative, confirming unofficial saying that 'UChicago is where fun goes to die'.
- Implemented neural network from scratch with forward and back propagation in Numpy
