If there was a demand, game developers would find a way. It’s just that kids are playing games on phones these days.

We need much, much more childish things in life, not fewer.

I'm fine with my bank not acting childish. It doesn't invoke a feeling of trust, which is important with some of these companies.

I feel completely opposite, but I'm curious where you come from here? Could you say some words to explain what you mean?

Perhaps you mean childlike, not childish?

Could you define the two? Because as far as I can tell, most people (even ITT) just use "childish" to mean "things I don't like".

It makes it easier to learn and develop both frontend and backend.

I wouldn’t even pay half that.

It’s digital money. You buy things with it.

I don’t see it as a disadvantage at all.

If people who are already saving in a high yield savings account move all of their funds to this, that’s almost entirely on them.

On the other hand, if this entices people who aren’t saving at all to start saving, that’s a huge advantage for them.

this is real. check out Indigo Ag

Late reply, but yes I am aware of Indigo Ag. Will see if they can deliver on their goals. I am dubious

I interned at Walmart Technology in 2014. All of the interns had to participate in an innovation challenge, and one of the teams had this very idea. I can only assume that Walmart explored the idea and passed on it.

I’m also seeing these two issues, although I wouldn’t call it really broken. Minor bugs in an otherwise great library.

Between Https and VPNs, this seems ineffectual for people who actually want to stay hidden. Am I missing something?

Except the US is sadly notorious for weakening encryption standards. One common example is how it was hard for a long time to export strong encryption

Metadata such as what domains/ip's are contacted can still be harvested.

And remember: metadata is everything. It makes the actual content of the communication discoverable and indexable. The information of what you're saying and doing is not actionable without being able to find it / categorize it at scale.
