Thanks for commenting! I agree these have some overlap.

The biggest difference that I can see is that with Breadcrumbs the location data is yours only. It is not being sent anywhere. If you share it with other devices, the location data is always end-to-end encrypted.

Breadcrumbs is also not tracking anything else than location - so it can focus on that area more - adding specific features such as changing the location collection accuracy/frequency.


There are many. I personally like to see all kinds of information on my wrist.

For personal use it can be weather, current sea state (for surfing, sailing, ...), current interval for your favorite bus - anything you check online and would like to get on your wrist which not necessarily already has an app/or there is one but you are not happy with how it presents data.

For business you can see how many helpdesk issues your team still has outstanding, how many errors your production environment logged for the last X hours, ...

Simply anything you would put on a dashboard. With that dashboard being on your wrist. And without the need to create your own Apple Watch app to achieve that.
