I was there too. You and GP are partially correct. IMO foxsec's capabilities were still gutted in the end but the entire team was not laid off.

I worked at Mozilla for a long time. I gained a reputation of a reliable and knowledgeable contributor. I built the culture of deep work but only within my team. Different managers built different cultures.

As a hiring manager I only want one person who is brazen enough to lead: any more will lead to conflict and any less will lead to chaos.

Glad you're still there. I had 10 years of time with Mozilla but was let go with the layoffs. First contribution was 20 years ago. From the folks I still stay in touch with morale is at an all time low but I hope Firefox recovers.
