This is why I've accepted it about my process. Even if something new only boosts my productivity for a little while, a bump is better than nothing, and I often learn something new about myself in the process. So, instead of beating myself up about going whole hog into something I saw online or heard in a podcast, I just accept it and enjoy the increase in energy and motivation for the time that I'm trying it.
Is it a crime to give a gun to a minor? I suspect not because America. The article says that they were convicted of involuntary manslaughter; does that feel appropriate? I can certainly see it that way, but it certainly looks to me like these people are being singled out because the US is not able to systematically address gun violence.
That song is the first thing that went through my mind, too. It's an interesting re-framing of the song, even if there's nothing to it.
There's nothing in the Wikipedia entry that contradicts the possibility, though. Both could be true, with illicit details elided from the official telling.
Still I'm choosing to believe in innocent origins.
That's true but at least we have a bit more to go on there (if not specifically about Lucy in the Sky) - I can't dig up the original reference but it's a famous enough story to paste from a random google search result:
John told Derek Taylor that when he and Paul dropped acid together they “just stared into each other’s eyes saying ‘I know, man’ and laughing”
My phone connection is screwed up in my 2012 Honda Civic so all the caller hears is a high pitched screeching sound. I have not found a way to turn off calls on the Honda system or on my iPhone and it's so frustrating! Especially when calling out because you can't switch to using the phone's speakers/mic until the call has been answered. This means there is always a 10-20 second bit of time where I have to shout my apologies until I can get it changed. Or I have to turn bluetooth off entirely and it takes a minute to get it connected again after my phone call.
