Downplaying that is similar to Downplaying protests for not achieving anything.
At the very least it might have brought attention to the topic of contention for more people which can be a spark for change. If you have apathy and disdain for attempts at change - it might be worth evaluating what the consequences might be of that at a societal level when that apathy is the norm for harder to change things (like politics, big corp practices etc.)
I would pay for something like that, if i could integrate it with my Matrix homeserver. One of the features that is lacking, and for exactly the reason (atleast AFAIK) that private location sharing doesn't exist.

Could you describe in more detail what kind of integration you're considering? Would you just want to be able to see your friend's location published in a channel as they move?
The volume that goes through directly, does so with reduced velocity.
Meanwhile what goes around - doesn't go "everywhere". Instead it stays localized.
Now we remember the fact that masks don't cancel social distancing but instead go hand in hand - and it seems to show that it would in fact provide a benefit - containing the aerosol in a smaller radius around the mask-wearing individual.
You can either manually control the fans with some form of IPMI tools or by disabling the fan offset (needs to be done every reboot though). Then it is actually very bearable, asuming you have good ventilation around it.
Bitwarden is quite young, but after a couple of years of solo-deving they are finally expanding, and the next year or two might see it get a lot of extra features that are very helpful - atleast if info that was talked about in their customer forum is accurate.
I use it both at work and personally.
Why not both? There is always the potential that there is an actual reason to upgrade - and borked motherboards where any such modules are damaged as a potential reason.
