I remember running Winamp in the background along with various games (Diablo, Age of Empires, Red Alert). They would always lag terribly.. but not if you didn't log in first!

win+R before login was pretty useful - albeit insecure!

Happy times. With single-digit RAM, every megabyte counts!

The logo just makes me think "Chrome"...

It makes me think "AppVeyor". https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AppVeyor

Looks like it's a placeholder. https://github.com/intika/Librefox/issues/20

Looks like you can add it yourself - it's a 'wiki' type list.

I've seen them being used, eg. the /standup command in hipchat, but not a huge fan. Obviously Skype or similar for remote teams.

TBH I always think of standups as being as informal and brief as possible, and physical interaction promotes better comms within the team.

If it's causing real problems, why not suggest a low-tech solution like keeping notes?

exactly, its not the problems I am worried about. I do think engineers coming to the standup with some thoughts just make the standup exponentially more useful. Totally agree with the informal-ness

I think you're better off with this for a proper technical feature-set... https://thatoneprivacysite.net/vpn-section/

What's wrong with ORMs? I tend to use Dapper. I've found that it can solve most of my problems, and it's easy to drop back to raw SQL as needed for the last 5% that need finer control. It's also super easy to extend and customize based on my requirements, and it's almost as fast as raw SQL.

It really comes down to preference, tooling, and coding standards.

Personally, I use tabs.

Thanks, but i watched Silicon Valley

Well that sucks. I was just getting used to using Wunderlist. I guess I'll have to give dead trees another try...
