I was tired of scrolling the comments to find the movie name or the tv show, so i decided to build this little app which uses ai under the hood to recognize the tv shows ot the movies from an tiktok video url

Ah, project management! The mere mention of it can make some folks break out in a cold sweat, while others reminisce about countless nights spent staring at Gantt charts until their eyes turned into tiny, red squares.

Working from home can be a dream come true for many people. You get to work in your pajamas, skip the commute, and have all the snacks you want.

But as great as it may seem, working from home can also be a real challenge when it comes to staying focused and productive.

While non-optimal home environment can screw up work (too small, too crowded, too distracted), I wonder what percentage of the people who can’t focus doing wfh can’t focus in the office environment either. Lots of distractions there as well, often of a more interesting kind.

If your job required f2f interactions then yeah, do it f2f. If, however, your jobs requires concentration or interaction with multiple sites do it where such concentration is possible. And if you make office work the goal, make offices.

Edit: to make a positive contribution to the discussion, I’ve found that having a specific place to work separate from not-work at home helps maintain a separation in my head. Not everybody can do this but if you can have such a separation it might help with focus/off time.

It's the opposite for me, more focus, less food. I was already dressing casual so that wasn't an issue. No commute is definitely a plus. I think there is an element of creativity that isn't being catered to in most offices. Writing code, or designing has comparable creative efforts to an author, film maker, etc., and working from home is allowing people to create this environment.

Hi, sorry i dont t understand what are you saying

It means that calls to the hackernews url would be rerouted to localhost (thereby effectively blocking the website).

However, it only takes about 5 seconds time to rename the hosts file, subverting the whole idea.

Time is a funny thing, isn't it? It seems like we always have too much of it, and yet, somehow, it always manages to slip away from us. Whether we're working on a big project, trying to get in shape, or just trying to keep up with the demands of daily life, time management is key to success.
