Great. exchangeratesapi.io source was used as a "hello world" example for singer.io open source ETL framework. Now it is less ideal of a quick example because the API has changed to require a signup and access key.

In case you are a data engineer using singer.io, I created a singer.io tap for exchangerate.host to replace tap-exchangeratesapi: https://github.com/anelendata/tap-exchangeratehost
