I'm using http://springpadit.com for this now, you can make categories add urls and attach notes to them. But it has much more features of course (works on Android, Apple, Windows,...)
I very much like it (not affiliated at all)
Thanks. This however sounds more like a note taking app than just something which stores links. This sounds a lot like Microsoft Onenote. Given that i have a windows phone and office, maybe i should try that.
I think he/they were targeting the wrong companies. I know of big government companies that are moving to the cloud with their mail infrastructure in Europe. It's not so much trust, it's more about who will take the first jump. Lead and follow. "This big company is doing it, why shouldn't we?" But then again, maybe I'm wrong ;)
I'm really interested to know who the big government companies are because I've been on the inside of a few deals that have gone nowhere because of data location...
Sorry to see your reply only now, I don't know if you'll see this answer, but I'm happy to give you some examples of 'big' (to belgian norms) companies that are moving/have moved to the cloud with some applications. Let me know if you're still interested.
It's been going around Twitter you need to turn of the 'Ping' service in settings which prolongs battery life, don't ask me details, I don't have an iPhone, I'm just repeating what I read.
I'm always under the impression Microsoft is counting on luck when it comes to bringing out software. The kinect (or what's the name) is a big success, but is this because of the hardware or the software? I'm wondering too if Microsoft takes itself serious at times.
It's an interesting point. I think MS's courting of kinect hackers signifies that they haven't quite figured out what it's for yet. They know they're sitting on an awesome piece of hardware, and damned if they know what to make of it. Right now it's Wii++ and they know it could be so much more, but they don't know what. They're looking for inspiration from those who really do see its potential.
Really, this is a microcosm of MS in the Ballmer era. They still have incredible engineering talent, but they have no vision.
Hello, first let me tell you; Your perseverance will definitely help you in business. You're a strong person, I hope you can leave all bad experiences behind you and can take all experience from them that you can.
Second, it's all about networking, online, offline, doesn't matter, tools like LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook exist for just this, networking. Start by creating a LinkedIn profile, or update your existing one and start connecting, write people. Also look for "networking events", I don't know if they exist in your neighborhood but here you can find them, these are events organized especially to get to know other people in the business (any business) you exchange cards and start conversations, these are excellent opportunities. I can go on about this but you get the idea I guess... Make yourself known, connect, socialize, in the end you will find the people you need, or they find you.
