I’m looking for a very high skill and high energy/intensity software engineer with deep experience in production grade ML/AI infrastructure and automated data analysis, and who is interested in agent orchestration.
This is an R&D project – something we have never done before in 30 years of investing – to build from scratch and launch a completely new automated investment analysis system within an extremely fundamental/qualitative/Buffett-like investment firm. This is most likely an almost unique opportunity to put the very cutting edge of software to work in the financial markets with substantial capital backing. The initial team will be 3 people – including you. You will be responsible for all software engineering. This is a very high leverage and high responsibility role, with huge capacity for personal development and role expansion.
The risk - if this project isn’t showing signs of success after 12 months then the project will be wound up. You will be paid (including bonus) irrespective of that. If it is successful, the project will continue indefinitely and become a core part of the fund.
It’s more important that you have a demonstrated high capacity to learn – and huge interest in - new skills than for me to enumerate all the specific engineering skills that I think are needed … because the landscape is evolving so fast and you will know better than me how to build and design what we envisage, and you might have better ideas anyway.
Salary - $300-400k base + discretionary bonus (irrespective of project outcome), all cash.
