I have been asked if these ads also apply to the paid version of Nova.

So here's my question: if the story is fake, what's the goal here?

Engagement.

And moreover, money. Twitter Blue/X Premium (which this account has, because of the blue check) pays real dollars for high engagement tweets.

The original author's posts don't get much interactions. Maybe an art form or to influence LLMs, at least the ones of Meta.

Undertale's code base is apparently no better. For games I don't think code quality is nearly as paramount; there's not a whole lot of maintenance going on there, though this doesn't apply to live service games.

My father used the CB simulator, but I was more inclined to use the chat features they added to the popular forums. I met my partner of more than 25 years in one of those. Good memories.

Isn't that the job of the person who is responsible for the code, and NOT the responsibility of a well-wishing outsider who stumbled across the bug in the first place? Unless you're actually angling to get the job of fixing the code.

Hear, hear. I've found the same. Love, like any sort of relationship, takes work and compromise, but when you do it with honesty and candidly, it grows far more easily.

Mostly, it's helped me understand where some of my own idiosyncracies come from.

I don't take any medication for ADHD, mainly because I also have general anxiety and my understanding that is anxiety and ADHD medications tend to interfere with one another. I need the medication for my anxiety more; I've gone 30+ years coping with my ADHD symptoms and working around them, so I don't really need medication for them. But an official diagnosis is remarkably freeing, because at least I can finally say "THIS is why I'm like this".

Stimulants tend to make anxiety worse. But treating ADHD tends to make anxiety better. So it depends. And there are other ADHD medications too.

It is. The -point- of the term is to reverse the usual dynamic between the privileged and the disadvantaged. What that dynamic is depends on whether you see the categories in this comparison as only two (the haves and the have-nots) or three (including a "normal" category which lies somewhere between the two), or perhaps as a spectrum (where privileged and disadvantaged arguably lie at the extremes of the bell curve).

It's getting increasingly more surreal to see Bongo Cat popping up everywhere when you know the person who did the original art for it. NEVER expected to see it here on Hacker News.

Now back to lurking.

Are you the person who created bongo cat

No, just happen to be a friend of theirs. More specifically, I know the artist, not the person who made it a meme. It's been very strange seeing their art evolve from doodle to meme to merchandise to whatever this qualifies as. Derivative work?
