We already reached AGI. Why is anyone saying otherwise?

AGI is when the system can train itself which we have already proven.

Citation needed? I don't mean this in a snarky way, though. I genuinely have not seen anything that these things can train on their own output and produce better results than before this self-training.

All right they’ve gotta have a plain clothes bro go up there make sure the kid is chill. You know the difference between a murder and not can be as little as somebody being nice

I get it but it is imperative that this never happen. The reason is that a pardon is the only recourse the people have against the supreme court

Haha yeah my wife used to use that always as a nice way to explain why she should be able to punish me at all times for all my “failures”. Lol

Oof. I'm seeing lots of issues packed into this. You need good counseling. Not marriage counseling (that's a scam in most cases), but individual counseling. Even just a bro to talk to while you turn wrenches or heft iron. Just find a guy who is older than you, married, and well adjusted and talk to him. I can make some recommendations on where to find men like this, if you would like.

Heck yeah honestly

A chapter of ARM is a really good bet. All you have to do is check their website and show up to a public event and introduce yourself. Lend a hand with setup and teardown.

A church might be a bit of a reach. A man of God (not a pastor, unless he is ex military/cop/etc or was in the trades) might be able to advise you, but if you aren't Christian I don't think it'll be super helpful.

Yeah but let’s be honest they aren’t going to be profiting off this. So maybe to help them feel they are contributing to a good cause

Birds safely do VTOL. Humans still haven’t figured that out yet (helicopters are so dangerous).

I think that it is necessary we try all things because LLMs as we know them take too much energy.

Just regarding VTOL, we absolutely have figured out how to do it with quadcopter drones safely handling weights comparable to the largest birds, and it seems to me that scaling these up to carry humans will be relatively straightforward [0].

As long as you have rapidly spinning BLADES it’s not safe

Why? Planes also have rapidly spinning blades, but the actual risk from getting hurt by the blades is probably two full orders of magnitude lower than the risk from the whole thing crashing into something at speed, which is an inherent risk when you have massive objects moving quickly, regardless of mechanism.

We can absolutely do VTOL reliably at bird scale, look at acrobatic RC planes and quad drones. Even the smallest helicopters are massive and the square cube rule will always make that dangerous in this gravity. But also like, harrier, F-35, osprey, etc.

Uh, this is a strange thing to ask, but have you seen birds fly? It is most certainly not vertical take off (or landing.)

It doesn't sound strange at all. Good question.

hummingbirds would seem to be the exception tho

I do not work here so this is just tip. I have used freetaxusa for years amazing including schedule c. Since in Texas truly free haha!

Seems like hallucination will always be an issue for predict the next word training. Maybe we need to rethink pretraining .

Yes in some ways. But in other ways it makes new magic as it’s so cool to see the things I can build. I’m making a compiler with it and have learned so much that would have taken years otherwise. So it has taught me a lot and I’m better for it at least now.

I’m building a goroutine capable typescript JIT. So far I have lexical scope, closures goroutines and GC.

Since I’m using AI to build it and have limited context window I started with the hardest first. So it only supports int64 now.
