Hey HN!

The job market is brutal. You have to send out 100s if not thousands of resumes, maybe tweak them just a bit so that you'll hate this process and give up.

Meanwhile, the guy or gal who's in the same boat, is using a tool that automatically tailors resumes AND cover letters, and can apply to 5x more jobs than you.

I built ResumePlan to address exactly this problem. Mostly, for myself, because I used to do that. Hundreds of resumes, all modified just a bit for each company and job description. This was even worst with cover letters.

What makes this different:

- Unlike other services, you can start with your EXISTING resume and improve it - Make adjustments with AI writing in real-time - Deep focus on quantifiable achievements when rewriting resumes - Create cover letters and resumes extremely fast - Resume reviews work with tons of pre-trained data to give you feedback on your current resume

The carousel images are all AI generated headshots, some of the example selfies on the page are real selfies.

Lighting and in which setting the original selfies were taken do make a difference, which is why there is a guide on which selfies are good and which ones to avoid so the model won’t hallucinate during the training.

Maybe because there are millions of people that are not tech-savvy?

"you could still go to a local photo studio and get your picture taken by a professional"

- Please send me a list of local photographers in your area that charge $20 or less for professional headshots.

We actually don't have any subscriptions as of yet - everything is a one-time payment when you get to the checkout, so in its current state this does not even apply, so I removed that clause for now.

All of the photos are of real people (some are their actual selfies, some are their AI counterparts), that's why there aren't many of them on the landing page.

np. gone.

1. Visual testing across different viewports

2. Track competitor websites over time

3. Website monitoring and archival

4. Track webpages for compliance, mainly for brand protection use case

Hey HN!

I built Peekzip to solve a common problem I had: safely inspecting ZIP files without downloading software or opening them and run the risk of ZIP bombs, remote code execution exploits and hidden executables or scripts.

Peekzip lets you instantly view any ZIP file's contents right in your browser. Just drag & drop, and boom - you can see everything inside. No downloads, no software, no security risks.

I’ve built this project mainly for my own use case, but wanted to share it here to get feedback and perhaps if someone else finds it useful.
