We built https://FreeGuessr.com – a free geography game inspired by GeoGuessr, but with some unique twists. Unlike many alternatives, we focus on high-quality maps, zero ads, and fresh game modes like:
- Elo-ranked Arena – play against thousands, not just few in duels
- Blink Mode – the location disappears after 0.1 second, testing your memory
- Daily & Player-Created Challenges – compete asynchronously
We are working on more features. The challenge has been balancing performance, scalability, and map availability while keeping it accessible for free.
