Just look for the em dash. AI loves them. No amount of pleading with it not to use them will help. Nobody knows how to search / replace them. Well, not your regular non-cretinous mentally stable individual anyway,

Maybe I'm wrong here, but I recall recently asking Claude to write something for me and telling it not to use em dashes, and the resulting text did indeed come back without any em dashes in it. So, perhaps it's not quite as good of an indicator as it once was.

If you want to see some video of it in action:

Yeah so, while it seems that the techbros are knee deep in their agentic dreams. I decided to go another route which, nobody else has for some reason.

Ok so in a nutshell, it's an elastic patcher. Can take the iffy but spiritually correct code from ANY ai and stitch it right into your local codebase.

Aider/Unified Diff,Function replace, headless snippet, whatever. I built this motherfucker tough.

Generally I get 90% success on blind 'yes' patch processing.

Specify the directories you want monitored, then ARM the patcher and it'll spring into action the momnet you copy whatever the AI has shat out.

It works really well with truncated, lazy output. A staple of the cheapo fast models. But hey, they're fast. (Also they're incompetent but that's a story for another day)

Check it out. If you're a Notepad++ battle hardened vet this'll change the way you bother using AI.

See,
