With all of the news about layoffs (ex. Snapchat trending on Twitter), I believe that we need a call to action for better financial management rather than simply resorting to layoffs (although not always avoidable). We believe far too often; that companies look to cut headcount rather than have better financial discipline. SaaS Sprawl is one area where companies are bleeding up to 30% of their budget (3rd highest cost center for businesses) due to mismanagement.

NachoNacho’s newly rebranded B2B SaaS Marketplace and subscription spend management solution utilizing virtual cards (think Costco for B2B SaaS products with a membership fee) used by thousands of SMBs challenges companies to think about better financial management rather than layoffs during uncertain economic times. Since “layoffs” and talk about a potential “recession” have seen a significant spike in interest in Google searches, we believe now is the time to promote better ways to tighten budgets, starting with the “lowest hanging fruit." Frankly, spend management and what we do is only part of the picture for better financial management. However, the larger story here with all the layoffs is a “call to action for a return to better financial management, rather than layoffs”

Why a googledoc instead of a real webpage?

I don't understand what your companies does. The idea is that a company find a new cheaper SaaS and replace the current one?

Would you recommend update to the NachoNacho.com website? I was more hoping to generating a discussion around the layoffs and how companies aren't having tight financial management right now. Spend management, death by 1000 cuts, is at the core of why a lot of these companies are failing. Frankly, SaaS spend, which is about 30% of the spend for these companies is also being wasted by about the same percentage. Yet, the first thing they resort to is layoffs? There are so many ways companies can actually tighten their budgets without layoffs. That's the real story.

For HN it's usually better to post the landing page of your site, or in this case a blog post in the blog of your site. A Google Doc is weird. (It's not forbidden, just weird.)

> There are so many ways companies can actually tighten their budgets without layoffs. That's the real story.

My guess it that companies are already trying to reduce the cost. Also, not all the money gets in the same bag, so it's possible that reducing 1000000 in SaaS is not the same that reducing 1000000 in salaries.

Sorry it's my first time using this. It's NachoNacho.com. The idea is that companies can manage, discover, and save on SaaS in one place. It's like a Costco membership, you get exclusive deals from top SaaS brands, but it also comes with the spend management tools to help you manage subscriptions. As an example, you can see every team member's SaaS spend, issue virtual credit cards (which you have full control over), and of course get access to the deals that are (in many cases) exclusive only to NachoNacho.

Happy to answer anymore questions if you need, I hope I was able to clarify more.
