Thank you for the insightful talk, Mike.

There are a few studies on the same subject. Most notably by Paul Piff

Here is the peer-reviewed paper: "Higher social class predicts increased unethical behavior": http://dx.doi.org/10.1073/pnas.1118373109

New York Magazine did a feature story about the study: http://nymag.com/news/features/money-brain-2012-7/

A PBS piece on the study: http://youtu.be/IuqGrz-Y_Lc

And the documentary: "Park Avenue: money, power and the American dream - Why Poverty?" http://youtu.be/6niWzomA_So - also exams the psychology behind power.

More than a few; I cite a number of others at http://lesswrong.com/lw/dtg/notes_on_the_psychology_of_power...

Thanks for pointing that out. Deleting this one.

The story is inaccurate. I tried submitting the link but HN won't allow me. See here: http://rt.com/news/snowden-venezuela-asylum-request-844/ "Russian MP deletes tweet claiming Snowden chooses Venezuela for asylum"

I've been using a standing disk for the last year and a half. All my back pain is gone and I generally feel better. I highly recommend others start using it. First week might be a bit hard but you'll get used to it pretty soon.
