Skype was originally built on P2P, so it couldn't work in a group chat and bad for mobile phones. That's the reason Skype fell behind other chat apps.


I have a MySQL database, which has large amount of Japanese text data. When I convert it from UTF8 to UTF16, it reduces certainly disk space.


I want Mercurial and Subversion in GitHub.


Why not just use a service that supports them?


Use RhodeCode then - but it is a self-hosted solution.


Google and Facebook don't use Git. Microsoft really loves Git and GitHub.

Enterprise edition is almost the same as Pro. I use it as a labo PC for free. After expire, I reinstall.


Enterprise LTSB is not however, it doesn't have the Store, Windows Apps or Cortana and doesn't receive feature updates only security ones.

I use a license key from work for my home PCs and it's lovely.


That's not a tenable option for "regular people".
