GDPR compliance, if you remove "uk" from the URL they just don't ask first :)

Javascript is disabled for me so they can take whatever they find, won't be much based just on my HTTP headers...

The popup still blocked the article without JS and the article isn't even loaded in behind it (otherwise I'd zap the popup element)

Yep, seeing a lot of these pop up lately. Probably an attempted supply chain attack.

edit: To be clear, if it was this, it wasn't successful. Blender team checked out the downloads and everything's fine. But that's a likely motive I'd say.

Looks like that video was a demonstration from a company that sells these machines. The hole was just cut out for doing videos like this I'd assume, not a modification for regular use.

Yea but in the US at least if OSHA, or way more likely our insurance when they doing their yearly inspection saw that they would freak out. That company looks like they are German, and from what I've heard Germany is way more strict about safety than the US.

So in order to sell that machine to me I would require a safety compliant door. My guess is a new door would be around $2800. That is an expensive hole.

What I know that you don't is that that machine is sold with a camera as an additional option. So there is already a place inside for mounting a camera. They would just need to make their own mount. Otherwise if I was just filming a demo to sell the machine I would override the door closed safety interlocks and film with the door open temporarily.

One of the major side effects of Ambien is anterograde amnesia, some people are less sensitive to it, but generally anything you do in "black out" phase will be a complete blur the next day. I used to take it an hour before bed and try to get some work done, I'd usually wake up the next day to several pages of code with absolutely no recollection of writing it.

Taking a quick look, this should be able to run without issue on any distribution. They're using Docker to run all the components. No Ubuntu-specific dependencies.

Jeez, all of their posts are ads for this nsoft crap. Is this allowed on HN? Not sure how to alert a moderator.

You send mail to hn@ycombinator.com, or flag a post.

Certainly not FUD or "advanced". No encryption/obfuscation used to communicate with C2 at all, common patterns in the c++ binary that drops on clients, no polymorphism, drops itself on the disk. Might be a fun toy project for the author but this wouldn't be useful in any actual security testing deployments.

The word you're looking for is "entertainment center", but yeah, weird there aren't more products available for that niche! There are lots of home AV receivers that might fit the bill but they tend to be pretty large units.

Big +1 for Gitea/Gogs, that thing will run on a toaster. Super low memory footprint and great for small shops.

My personal card pulls the same shit constantly. Last raise request I made was for $300 to put a bill on it, was declined, a month later I get an automatic offer for a $1000 credit raise. They'll be losing my business pretty soon.
