Tell HN: Now Archive Today Work with Pocket from Mozilla

I sent a support ticket today (Saturday) and they now support Pocket. Congratulations to the Archive Today team.

Pocket is a proprietary centralised bookmarking service, which uses Firefox as a vehicle to compete against Wallabag, which is open source.

Mozilla promised to open-source the Pocket server years ago, but they still haven't.

I quickly checked and with Wallabag you need to pay to use their SaaS service while Pocket has a freemium offering. Not saying one or the other is better but they are different. Nowadays I don't want to spend time in hosting the service myself.

How exactly does this work?

You just add an archived page to Pocket like you would do for a normal page?

Is this how? Or something else?

You go to the archived site and add it to pocket.

Thanks.

who owns archive today?

Yay! Thanks @wslh
