Frontend Lead
You:
* Have been cranking through Javascript for years and have spent time playing with the various frameworks for structuring large scale applications in Javascript.
* Are comfortable setting the standards and patterns that you'd expect to be followed across the board.
* Can make informed decisions as to why (or why not) to use various libraries and frameworks.
* Want to help lead development of a Marionette.js based interface for our various services.
* Ideally have some experience as a full stack engineer, but mostly just so you can tweak API responses that need tweaking.
Senior Rails Developer
You:
* Have spent a few years working on production grade Rails sites.
* Love testing but don't drown in the kool-aid.
* Are totally comfortable getting down and dirty with PostgreSQL. Our database is close to a TB and growing rapidly!
* Would be pretty sweet if you'd worked with some Node.js apps, or played around with various JVM languages such as Scala and Clojure.
* Are comfortable owning various bits of infrastructure. We have lots of little pieces that all plug together to form Chute and our backend team is tiny (2.5 people currently.)
We:
* Are located on 2nd and Stillman in San Francisco. We're ideally looking to hire people local to SF, but we're open to relocating the right people.
* Have raised significant venture funding since YC.
* Are about 20 people altogether with just over half being part of engineering, and have a healthy amount of revenue flowing in.
* Are handing out chunks of equity that you can tell your mom about without feeling too bad about it.
* Have a ping pong table that is in use for the majority of the day. What's the point of having one if no one ever plays?
