Hardware hacker needed for core role at drone start-up

We are a rapidly growing start-up that has a unique approach to the expanding world of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) - We develop enterprise solutions encompassing autopilot hardware and flexible software architectures that allow our customers to tailor UAVs to any commercial or military application.

We are looking for an experienced hardware developer to become a core member of our team. You will be responsible for spearheading the development of new products that are in our technology roadmap, interfacing existing products with UAV sensors and payloads, and for making improvements to our existing autopilots.

Throughout your time, we will challenge you to wear many hats from Product Development Engineer, creating a vision for future products, to Customer Support Engineer, working alongside customers across the globe such as at conservancies in Africa. Desired Skills & Experience * US Person (citizen or permanent resident) * Experience with all design stages including: schematic capture, PCB layout, manufacturing, testing, and quality control * Mixed-signal, multi-layer (6+), and high-speed design experience * Micro-controller experience (ARM / microchip / Atmel)

Additional Desired Experience: * Altium Designer * Embedded Software (C / C++) * Thermal engineering * EMI / vibration testing and qualification * Enclosure design (ECAD / MCAD integration) * DFA / DFM (design for assembly, design for manufacturing) * Failure and reliability analysis such as FMECA / MTBF * Product life-cycle management * Certification of electronics such as: FAA, military, or medical device
