Virool (YC S12) Seeks VP of Sales

With abundance of video content on the web, it’s become a nightmare for anyone to get discovered. Our users: brands, filmmakers, musicians, mobile app creators, all face the same problem of not being able to get through the clutter and get to the right audience.

That’s where Virool comes in. Virool is a self-serve social video advertising company that allows anyone to promote videos to their target demographic through our network of Facebook games, mobile apps and websites. We are profitable, growing very fast (doubling revenue every month) and raised money from Tier-1 Angel and VC investors in the Valley.

Despite all of this, we are a team of 7 people: 5 engineers, 1 sales/marketing and 1 customer support. We are looking to bring on board VP of Sales.

We are NOT looking to hire an experienced sales ‘suit’ who is ONLY motivated by the commission that he makes at the end of the month, but rather an individual who truly believes in changing the world, leaving an impact and is not scared to do whatever it takes to make things happen. We want someone who knows people in the advertising industry, knows how to close deals and is extremely proactive, always be selling, type A personality that loves to hustle and close deals making a lot of money for our company and yourself in between.

You should have prior experience in video/social ads sales in one of the leading companies (YouTube, Wildfire, Yahoo, AOL, Facebook), but looking for new challenges rather that stable corporate career.

                    What would you do?
- You will help us to define sales strategy and goals

- Build a sales team of people across the country and globally

- Open sales offices in New York, LA and other cities

- Make sure that sales goals are met

- Coordination with other teams - tell us what our customers want and how can we make them even happier

- Personally work with our biggest clients, and assist sales team to close bigger deals($150k+)

In other words - this might be one in the lifetime opportunity to define proper sales process in a very young company experiencing exploding growth.

                     What will you get?

- Very competitive base salary(you will pick it) + extremely high commission (up to 20%) on deals (most deals will range between $50k-$300k) and performance based bonuses.
