Paul Graham on David Sacks being the "most evil person in Silicon Valley" (reddit.com)

The deets of the story Paul Graham and Matthew Prince are referencing - https://www.theinformation.com/articles/why-parker-conrad-wo...

Sacks threw Parker Conrad (former CEO of Zenefits and current founder of Rippling) under the bus a couple years ago and began waging a media war against Parker and tried to sabotage Rippling's fundraising.

They didn't see eye-to-eye on politics and business, but Sacks was on his board and was COO at the time.

The only reason David Sacks backed off was because Sam Altman and PG intervened and threatened Sack's friend Marc Andressen that they would end YC's relationship with A16Z if Sacks didn't back down.

P.S. - The HN comments about Parker's ouster at the time did not age well - https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=11061992

Thanks for that summary. Was difficult to follow.

Sacks (and his mentor / former boss Thiel) seem to be a net negative for humanity.

Why on Earth would they support a convicted felon, sexual predator and worse to become POTUS?

Him as POTUS would further erode our rights. But extreme wealthy folks like Thiel, Sacks don’t care because it won’t impact them.

The rest of the besties (apart from the scientist guy) are full of themselves too.

I mean, Larry Ellison exists. If you can think up a more cartoonish industry villain, I'll wait.
