Interesting to watch here is the fact that this is based on a survey which is already contradicted by real quarterly sales reports from the major US carriers. If you look at the sales figures from the top three carriers (~80% of the market) you see that iPhones were 63% of their smartphone sales in Q1. There is no way that the remaining 20% can push the numbers enough for Apple to not have the majority of the Q1 US smartphone sales. The map is not the territory and a small sample loses to actual reported sales numbers in terms of which is closer to reality.
