Apparently I have to be redirected to the Japanese language splash page because no one in Japan could possibly want to read the English language blog posts? I guess this is just and ad for a coffee bean roasting home appliance?

No, it's a breakdown of the costs of opening a coffee roasting business, along with a couple common pitfalls.

but it's also an ad. They are trying to sell you this: https://bellwethercoffee.com/product/

It is an impressive offering, couple that with some reimagined version of the Clover and bam! you've got yourself a deluxe custom coffee shop.

Clover: https://electronics.howstuffworks.com/gadgets/kitchen/clover...

But why self-roast when you can put your stuff in someone else's data centre?

HAH! This needs commendation!

Content marketing done right.

It's a straight up ad. No thanks.

I thought it gave good value in term of novel information, which makes me agree that this is good content marketing.

It's such a conflict of interest that I can't trust any of the facts written. That said, maybe I'm too paranoid.

There's more advertising in there than I'm comfy with, but I found it a pretty cool read and I've got nothing to do with the company.

i once built a coffee roaster with a converted table top rotisserie kit i bought off ebay, a box fan, and some screen door mesh. It cost about $1,000. Not very practical because the cycle time and labor was too high due to the low quality nature of the roasting apparatus but it is not hard to find a good traditional roaster for $5,000. if your going to deal drugs for a living caffeine is probably the way to go.
