Songkick is growing fast. We're the second most trafficked concert site in the world (after Ticketmaster). Our iOS app had 100k downloads in the first 10 days. We're backed by the best investors in The Valley & Europe. It won't happen overnight, but one day we'll be the biggest concert service in the world.
Our HQ is in London but we've recently opened an office in SF. That team is currently one person - Mike Harkey. Mike was previously General Manager of Imageshack & ran music at eBay. We're working on partnerships to help music fans discover concerts wherever they are discovering music. So fans go to more shows. With that goal in mind we've closed some great partnerships including Foursquare, Spotify, Vevo and YouTube.
It's gotten to the point where one person can't keep pace with the volume of opportunities coming at us, so we're looking for a young Mark/Marcia Cuban to be the second member of our US business development team.
If you clicked on this you probably know enough about what Mark Cuban looked like at the start of his career to get the shorthand. We're not focused on your level of experience - we're looking for someone with an incredible amount of raw ability who can leap into anything from a huge pitch meeting to running our first developer event. The ideal candidate will be super smart, passionate about product, with real hustle. She'll get excited about the idea of defining the future of technology and live music. She's spent a couple of years in a sales or BD role and wants to move faster.
Songkick can be a platform for you to become one of the best BD people out there. Mike and I are both very involved in distribution partnerships and will invest in helping you learn as fast as possible. We're going to do amazing things this year, and we want you with us.
