Where names have doubled up, I've used the most interesting surname or middle name. This has prevented three Recession Williams (a tip when choosing the next cabinet).
This titling system makes conversation so much easier: "Well, I survived Recession McAdoo, but Recession Andrew was a doozie! If they ever name a Hurricane after that guy, I'm outta here."
Remember how, around 2000, we went from budget "surpluses" (based on projections which assumed the .com bubble would never burst) to deficits almost immediately?
Notice how we are bailing out the financial industry, in an effort to postpone problems? (I don't think anyone really believes the bailout will prevent a recession, though it might postpone it.)
The housing bubble, generally thought to have begun in 1997, would not have occurred without the wars in Afghanistan (2001-present) and Iraq (2003-present)?
