I’ve gotten used to semantic versioning to note api deprecations and breaking changes in major releases. Linux just bumps around .20?


I think is this old "p*sing contest" when suddenly a distribution maintainer sees that all other distributions have version 10 but his is at version 5.


Semver is not universal. Always read your Software-Under-Scrutiny.

Don't get caught out by the SUS.
