I love bingo cards as commentary. I became 'well known' in the nuclear industry for passing out 'Nuclear Renaissance Bingo' cards at a national meeting during a keynote whilst pretending it was official.
Since then I've recently revived my bingo card generator. It defaults to nuclear things but you can actually write your own options and then share the URL with your custom options encoded into the URL. Fun for zoom meetings for sure.
That's very cool, thanks for sharing your story :)
If you find a way to monetize it, you can become the next patio11, eventually get hired by Stripe (or whatever is the cool finance startup in about 10 years) and start ranting about how the new financial ecosystem being built at the time is nothing like $NextStripe.
I have strategically picked my card and all I need is a major DNS provider and reddit to go down. Hopefully I get a real prize and not just my data being leaked.
I read this as Outrage Bingo. Now I want that. If you build it, we will come. You could auto-generate squares with the Twitter API. Twitter, the Outrage Propagation As A Service platform. Mark the square if its term appears in a headline on the HN front page.
The number of bingos will be inversely correlated with the quality of the HN feed. It could be used for QA.
Same. The Bingo tld is clearly under utilized in playful and or sarcastic applications. Now there's a place I to put my corporate townhall bingo cards..
Have we seriously not already had a major VPN leak? We must have had one by now, right?
I vaguely feel like more of these cards should already be blue? But maybe I'm just quibbling over what "major" means or how long in the past we should go to look.

Regardless, fun project, I like the idea a lot. I'll also add my vote alongside other commentors that I'd love to be able to use names as seeds.
Robinhood probably still earns more than half of its transaction based revenue from crypto, with the rest being options and stocks. I think it actually does qualify as a major cryptocurrency service.
That 50% of Robinhoods revenue comes from crypto does not make Robinhood a major service in the cryptocurrency space. Could be that they have way higher margins on cryptocurrency, that cryptocurrency fans spend more or anything else. But compared to other exchanges or trading platforms in cryptocurrency, Robinhood is basically non-existing.
Robinhood was one that we (me + friends) were a bit on the fence about, since it does -- as you say -- get really close to the edge, but it seemed close-enough.
