Form me (iPad ios 14) it shows up as black on white (your comment currently shows up as grey on cream).

In any case: if this bothers you, a “reader mode” (such as built into safari) should be your default for most sites

Looks like black type on a white background in my browser (other than the author name). Highlighted text is white text on dark red background. Seems readable to me.
