Newest Respects Your Freedom certified device is a 802.11n router (fsf.org)

Although it is good to know that a news device got the very exclusive RYF certification, it is sad to know that it is a decade old technology. Nevertheless, it says more about how the vendors and manufacturers are willing to collaborate than about the FSF.

While their cert list isn't a bustling hive of activity, a ten year tech lag isn't the rule. Raptor Computing got a power9 motherboard certified only two years after the chip's launch. That seems pretty fast to me, but then... I am typing this on a 12 year old thinkpad. Hopefully they don't weaken their certification criteria in an effort to generate more listings - but that binary blob test balloon they floated a while ago isn't a good sign.

Judging from the website, you can't actually buy it.

I can’t wait for 802.11ax in 2030ish.
