That aside, I was actually more curious to read the mentioned "Thoughts on mistakes" essay, but it was apparently published only in newsletter form because the link in the article leads to the newsletter subscription page.
The first link (on webup.org) is the original one. The rest is someone else copy-pasting the content on their websites without permission. But Google does have its tools to detect such a scam.
About the newsletter in the article: I think you can join Nicholas’ mail list and reply to one of his emails or DM him on Twitter. He is a nice guy and will probably send you the “Thoughts of mistakes”.
Right because most experienced developers know they need to do something like XP in order to have a successful project and they are used to working around managers.
