That’s a big title, but the article doesn’t tell us much about the practical applications of this effect, and its impact.

Also, are magnons actual particles? My understanding is that they are just a way of modeling spin oscillations.


You see to know a bit about the subject matter. Sorry for the aside, but do you know what the latest consensus on gravitons happens to be? Do they exist?


We don’t have yet the tech needed to answer that question. We’re not doing great on the theoretical side either.

Magnons are quasiparticles that represent changes in electron spin. Surprised to see this in the official press release. The arrow analogy didn't help either.
