With a starting point of two signups, the statistics and causation argument are really murky.


Why is this called a "line of code change"?


Agreed. Between calling it a "line of code", the green name, the fact that the submitter has never posted anything aside from their own products, and the title, this looks like spam to me.


+1. I would call it copy, not code.


Not to mention, they got the signups they wanted, but lost a ton of business by giving away premium accounts for free. If those two original signups PAID for premium accounts, the company would have generated more revenue.

Think less about total signups and more about converting signups to paying premium customers.
